MSTERIO（ミステリオ）が終わって３週間が経過。ALWAYS TOGETHER 　いつも一緒に！これが今年2015年のテーマとなりました。

今年は15周年という特別な夏。新しい場所で小学1年生から86歳のキャンプグランパまで100名強のミステリオファミリーと共に過ごしたさる小での8日間、関わってくださった大勢の方達のお陰で、無事終了。

笑顔いっぱい、思い出いっぱい、友達いっぱい、食欲モリモリ、多くのことに新しくチャレンジした元気いっぱいのキャンパー達に囲まれて、私たちスタッフはお子さんたちから学びの多い多くの宝物をいただきました。

MSTERIOは初参加とリピーターの壁がないように、語学の違いや環境の違いを感じないように、みんなの想いが通じるように、「こんにちは」「さようなら」そして「又、必ず逢おうね」と言い合えるところ。

各々Make A Difference をしたときにゲットできるMSTERIO COINは、今年は赤と白の２色。一生懸命貯めるキャンパー、ちょっぴり大人になったキャンパーは自分のコインをあげるキャンパーなどなど、様々な場面で多くのMake A Difference が繰り広げられました。

15周年にちなんで、アンピュテイサッカーチームを始め、豪華サプライズゲストたちが初日から大勢かけつけてくださいましたね。

安全面には最大に気を配り、最終日に親御さんにお子さんをお返しすることが何よりも大事な目的。それを見守るスタッフや講師群 (Activity Directors) たちは、子供らしさをどこかに持つ大人たちが大勢います。彼らは本気で子供たちと向き合い笑い、違いを尊重しあい時には”それは違うよ”ときちんと説明できる大人ばかり。

毎年のことながら、最終日キャンパーたちのパフォーマンスの底力に今年も感動でした。ダンスや書道、ミュージック、今年初めてお目見えした小学生のアニメ吹き替えプロジェクト、そしてラストを締める中高生の大作ミュージカル"ANNIE"。英語と日本語の歌やセリフで見事な出来映えには、観客全員鳥肌が立つほどでしたね。この集中力は一体なんなのだろう、と。改めて彼らの持つ底力とチームワークに、本気を出せばどんなことでも絶対に出来るんだと実証してくれました。

5年前の2010年に参加してくれたキャンパーやスタッフたちが書いた”5年後の自分へ”というレターを各自にお返しするセレモニーや、2020年に開けるための”5年後の自分へのレター”も書いてみました。

15年という節目の年、初心を忘れず、今後もお子さま一人一人の明るい未来のために少しでもミステリオがお役に立てるように、みなさんと共に数多くのMake A Differenceを続けていきたいと思います。 そしてこれまで15年の間、MSTERIOに関わってくださった大勢のすべての皆さまに、心からお礼と感謝の気持ちをここでお伝えしたいと思います。

最後に2つのお知らせです。2016年来年度のMSTERIO SUMMER CAMPは今年と同じく群馬県のさる小で7月30日からの開催が決定いたしました。

そして今年のMSTERIO CHRISTMAS PARTY (ミステリオ・クリスマスパーテイー)は、12月23日（祭日）東京アメリカンクラブで開催いたします。すでに何人かの素晴らしいゲストアーチストの方達もラインアップ。また、この時までにブルーワールドさん編集によるキャンプダイジェスも出来る予定です。楽しみにしていてくださいね。

残りの夏休みも最後まで楽しく過ごしましょう。

ALWAYS TOGETHER

This was the theme for MSTERIO 2015. It was 15th Anniversary of MSTERIO and everything was more special then ever. We moved to new location, and more than 100 MSTERIO Family, the youngest was 6 years old camper and the oldest was 86-years-old camp grandpa, gathered together. Thank you for being part of MSTERIO. We made it through for 8 days because of your support and love.

A new location Sarusho, where used to be an elementary school, was just for us. We had no idea what we should to do with a huge ground but with a huge support of Sarusho, we were able to celebrate 15th Birthday, laugh a lot, made memories and friends a lot, ate a lot, challenged a lot. And staffs learned a lot from cheerful campers.

One of the best parts of MSTERIO is that there is no difference between newcomers and repeaters, English speaker and Japanese speaker with any different backgrounds. They have same warm heart to say “Hi”, “Bye” and “See you again” at the end of the camp.

MSTERIO coins that can be earn by acting “Make a difference” were red and white this year. Since it was 15th Anniversary, many special guests came to celebrate from the Day 1! On the second day, the amputated soccer team visited MSTERIO. First, we all didn’t know how to deal with the team and many capers and staffs were bewildered. The more time we share time together and play soccer, the more we get to know each other and learn there is no rule “to do and not to do”. The courage and passion of the athletes touched our heart. Moreover, Ms. Mariko Hata composed a beautiful song about this encounter and story and it made us cry.

Besides daily basic program (AM: Baking, Field sports, Dance, Tennis, Swimming PM: Art, Drama, Japanese calligraphy, English, Music), the environmental was filled with music. Improvisation music was created and staffs played instruments for it. Some time we sang along. Music is one of characteristics of MSTERIO.

Thanks to campers’ open hearts, grownups were able to enjoy their time with them innocently so there are many staffs that have pure child heart. Not only staffs but also directors face campers with all of their heart and laugh together. And they all can explain campers what is right and what is wrong correctly with love. The most important thing for MSTERIO is to keep campers safe and bring back to their parents at the last day. We are relived that we all had great 8 days together without any big problem.

Surprise events were provided everyday, and we witnessed campers’ surprised face more than usual. There were more campers who were asking for autographs and pictures than we expected. We want to thank all the guests who visited us.

At the last night, we had memorable campfire that seemed to reach to the sky under the gorgeous “bluemoon” light. We danced and sing and recall the days we had together.

As usual, campers showed their potential at the final performance and they grabbed our hearts and we were excited and touched. The contents of the show were dance, Japanese calligraphy, music, animation dubbing which was the first junior camper project and a musical by senior campers and CIT as a finale.

The musical of this year was “ANNIE”. The famous children’s cleaning scene with perfect choreography and English and Japanese songs were parts of the show. Everything was perfect and amazing. The performers made us chill. They just made the 30 minutes musical only in 6 days. We were just amazed by their potential, concentration and teamwork. They proved that they can do anything with their power again this year.

There might be campers who won't see each other after this camp. However, we are sure that this 8 days camp became their good memory, and we strongly hope that they keep this memory as one of the treasures in their heart.

The Annual MSTERIO Holiday Party this year will be held on December 23rd at Tokyo American Club. We already booked several guest artists. We will premier the camp movie edited by Blueworld. Get ready to have fun!

Lastly 2016 MSTERIO summer camp will be held at Sarusho from July 30th next year!
