17歳メジャーレコード会社EMIよりデビュー。デビューシングル「No No No」当時最高記録のパワ−プレイ全国FM17局に選ばれる。3rdシングル「The Only One」が、日本テレビ系のドラマ『Pure Soul～君が僕を忘れても～』の主題歌に起用され、40万枚のヒット。2010年に活動拠点をNew Yorkに移し、全米最大のゴスペルイベント「Mcdonalds Gospel Festival 2010」で27年間の歴史上、初の日本人クワイアーのソリストとして初出場し優勝した。2013年に全編英語のアルバム”Reborn”がアマゾンチャートの、ポップ部門、ソウル／R&Bチャートで１位を獲得。シンガーソングライターとして更なる活動の幅を拡げるのが期待される。

 

Ki-yo is a singer-songwriter. He debuted from EMI when he was 17. His 3rd single ‘The Only One’ reached 400,000 pieces of hits. He then moved to NY on 2010 and won the ‘McDonalds Gospel Festival 2010’ which he also is the first Japanese won this competition. On 2013, his first English album ‘Reborn’ hit the 1st rank of Amazon’s Pop, soul/R&B chart.
